"Black Panther" actor Chadwick Boseman is trying to track down his sister's killers in the new international trailer for the revenge film "Message from the King."

Boseman, who's currently working on his own Marvel superhero movie, plays a different sort of African fighter in this gritty action thriller. When Jacob King (Boseman) gets a distressed phone call from his sister saying that she's "in trouble," he immediately buys an airline ticket from South Africa to Los Angeles. But when Jacob arrives in the city of Angels, he quickly learns his sister was mysteriously murdered. Now Jacob only has the rest of the week to hunt down the people responsible and exact his revenge.

Also starring Teresa Palmer, Luke Evans, and Alfred Molina, the film is directed by Belgian horror filmmaker Fabrice Du Welz (Alleluia, Calvaire) from a script written by Stephen Cornwell and Oliver Butcher, the screenwriters of the Liam Neeson thriller "Unknown."

"Message from the King" doesn't have a U.S. release date, as of yet, but is expected to open in France in May.

synopsis:
Jacob King arrives in Los Angeles from Cape Town looking for his missing younger sister. A stranger in a strange land, he has $600 in his pocket and a return ticket home in seven days. Within twenty-four hours Jacob King knows his sister is dead. This is the story of what happens in the next six days.

As he searches for his sister's killers, wreaking havoc in her name, King's journey propels him deep into the LA underworld and its intersection with Hollywood high society. His pursuit of revenge will lay bare a network of depravity that stretches from the dive-bars of the gang heartlands to the glitz of the Hills.
