WWE Superstar John Cena lends his voice to a big-hearted bull in the first trailer for "Ferdinand," the new animated comedy from Blue Sky Studios, the animation production company behind the "Ice Age" franchise.

Directed by "Ice Age" and "Rio" helmer Carlos Saldanha, the FOX animated movie takes place in Spain and centers on a large bull named "Ferdinand" (voiced by Cena), who, due to a big misunderstanding, is deemed dangerous and sent to fight in the bullfighting ring. The thing is, Ferdinand may look like a big, snarling beast, but he is really a pacifist by nature. He wouldn't even hurt a little fly, let alone a little bunny that accidently got in his way.

Also featuring the voices of Kate McKinnon, Gina Rodriguez, Gabriel Iglesias, Bobby Cannavale, David Tennant, Anthony Anderson and more, "Ferdinand" is scheduled to hit theaters at the end of the year, beginning December 15th.

FERDINAND tells the story of a giant bull with a big heart. After being mistaken for a dangerous beast, he is captured and torn from his home. Determined to return to his family, he rallies a misfit team on the ultimate adventure. Set in Spain, Ferdinand proves you can't judge a bull by its cover.
