Noomi Rapace becomes an unwilling participant in a sadistic medical experiment after being abducted and drugged in the new trailer for the twisted horror thriller "Rupture."

Here, the "Prometheus" actress plays a single mother who is suddenly kidnapped on the road by unknown assailants. When she discovers she's been taken to an undisclosed laboratory, she plots her escape. But in order to do that, she must first suffer through a series of excruciating scientific experiments, involving the rupturing of her genetic code.

In addition to Rapace, the cast also includes Michael Chiklis (FOX's Gotham), Kerry Bishe (AMC's Halt and Catch Fire), Peter Stormare (Fargo) and Lesley Manville (Maleficent).

Written by "Hard Candy" scribe Brian Nelson, "Rupture" is the first film in over a decade to be directed by Steven Shainberg, who is best known for directing the 2002 cult S&M dramedy "Secretary" and the 2006 biopic "Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus."

"Rupture" will be released exclusively on DirecTV on March 30th, before hitting theaters and VOD and Digital HD on April 28th.
