Misery certainly loves company.

Chris Messina, star of the comedy series "The Mindy Project," and Abigail Spencer, star of the time-travel series "Timeless," play a couple of suicidal sad-sacks who impulsively decide to drive cross-country to San Francisco in order to end their miserable lives by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge in the off-kilter romantic road-trip indie "The Sweet Life."

The Jared Rappaport-written film, which co-stars Tyson Ritter (TV's Parenthood), J.D. Evermore (TV's Rectify), and comic actor Karan Soni (Deadpool), is helmed by TV director Rob Spera, whose directing credits includes episodes on "Criminal Minds," "Army Wives," and "Supernatural."

"The Sweet Life," which premiered at the 2016 Los Angeles Film Festival, is set to be released on VOD and Digital next month, beginning April 11th. Watch the trailer, above.
