Sam Claflin gets twisted around Rachel Weisz's little finger in the new trailer for the twisty British period drama "My Cousin Rachel."

In this film adaptation of the classic 1951 book by British mystery novelist Daphne du Maurier, of "Rebecca" and "The Birds" fame, Claflin plays a young Englishman, named Philip. He is told that his beloved cousin had mysteriously fallen ill and died.

But when Philip discovers criminating letters that revealed his cousin had suspected his new wife, Rachel (Weisz) was slowly poisoning him, he sets out to expose her for being the lying two-faced murderer that she is. Of course, that plan gets completely thrown out the window when Philip unexpectedly falls head over heels in love with Rachel after falling for her sob story -- and drinking her new batch of "tea."

"Notting Hill" and "Changing Lanes" helmer Roger Michell directs the film from his own adapted screenplay, while Holliday Grainger (The Finest Hours) and Iain Glen (Game of Thrones) co-star.

"My Cousin Rachel" is set to open in both the U.S. and the U.K. on July 14th.
