Do you have a murder that needs solving? Well, forget Columbo -- get Handsome. Homicide Detective Gene Handsome, that is.

Comedian Jeff Garlin investigates the strange decapitation of a fashion model as LA gumshoe Handsome in the new Netflix movie, which can be seen as a send-up of old 1970s detective shows or a silly riff on the hard-boiled detective novels of the 1940s and '50s.

Garlin, perhaps best known for currently starring on the hit 80s-set sitcom "The Goldbergs" and co-starring and executive producing Larry David's Emmy-winning HBO series "Curb Your Enthusiasm," also served as the director of "Handsome," in which he co-wrote the screenplay with "Laggies" screenwriter Andrea Seigel.

The original Netflix film boasts a solid supporting cast that includes Natasha Lyonne (Orange Is the New Black) as Handsome's kooky partner and Amy Sedaris (Strangers with Candy) as Handsome's tough-as-nails chief, while Steven Weber (Wings), Christine Woods (Hello Ladies) and Timm Sharp (Blunt Talk) are playing the murder suspects.

"Handsome: A Netflix Mystery Movie" will start streaming on Friday, May 5th. Watch the trailer, above.
