Check out the trailer for "American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story," a new docuseries that offers viewers a comprehensive look at the iconic adult magazine mogul who helped reshape the cultural attitudes toward sex in America.

Featuring interviews and rarely-seen footage from Hefner's personal archives, the series will incorporate cinematic reenactments, in which New Zealand actor Matt Whelan (from the New Zealand series "Go Girls") portrays a young Hefner as he launches the Playboy magazine in the early 1950s and the Playboy Club in the '60s.

Executive produced by Emmy-nominated documentary producer Stephen David (The World Wars), "American Playboy" is set to stream exclusively on Amazon on Friday, April 7th.
