"Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke trades in her dragons for a ghost as she plays a nurse-therapist trying to help a severely traumatized boy in the newly-released trailer for the supernatural psychological thriller "Voice from the Stone."

Based on a 1996 book of the same name by Italian author Silvio Raffo, the 1950s-set film takes place at a remote 15th-century Italian castle where a grieving young boy (newcomer Edward Dring) has stopped speaking after the sudden death of his mother. Unable to heal his son's troubling condition, the widowed father (Marton Csokas; "The Equalizer") enlists the help of their new live-in therapist (Clarke). But her job takes a startling turn when she starts to hear the eerie voice of the boy's dead mother, causing her to wonder if she's been infected by the same mysterious illness that took the woman's life.

Directed by former stunt coordinator-turned-filmmaker Eric D. Howell and co-starring Italian actress Caterina Murino (Casino Royale) and veteran Italian actress Lisa Gastoni (Grazie zia), "Voice from the Stone" is due to hit theaters and VOD and Digital HD on April 28th.

synopsis:
A haunting thriller set in an isolated castle in 1950s Tuscany, Voice From the Stone tells the story of Verena (Emilia Clarke), a determined young nurse who is hired to help the mute young heir within. But the more she observes him, the more Verena becomes convinced he has fallen under the spell of a powerful and otherworldly persona trapped in the villa’s stone walls, one that seems to be rapidly entwining with her own.
