Marvel Studios has released a brand-new 30-second commercial for "Gardens of the Galaxy" ... er, wait a minute, Gardens? We mean, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2."
Featuring some new footage including a tongue-in-cheek exchange between Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and her evil sister Nebula (Karen Gillan), who's a bit confused about the whole "Guardian" name, the spot basically highlights the group's heroic efforts to save the galaxy for a second time, despite impossible odds.
"There's a thousand of them," says Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) in the above clip. "And five of us!" To which Drax (Dave Bautista) replies, "These odds are terrible. We need new odds."
Drax might be referring to the fact that the Guardian team will be adding a couple of new players, namely Nebula, space raider Yondu (Michael Rooker), and newcomer Mantis (Pom Klementieff), who was raised by Star-Lord's long-lost father, Ego (played by Kurt Russell).
Written and directed by James Gunn and featuring the voices of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel as Rocket and Baby Groot, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" will open nationwide May 5th.
