Next month, "Doctor Who" star Peter Capaldi will say goodbye to the sci-fi franchise that brought him international stardom. And fans are now getting a peek at Capaldi's final run as the Twelfth Time Lord.

Check out the newly-released 'Season 10' trailer for "Doctor Who," in which Capaldi takes one last ride through time and space ... or rather, his last ride through Mars, 1814, and "the vacuum of space!" The season also marks London-born actress Pearl Mackie's introductory run as the doctor's new companion, "Bill Potts."

British comedian Matt Lucas will also appear in the season, reprising his lovable "Nardole" character, who was recently seen in the Doctor Who Christmas special.

"Doctor Who: Season 10" premieres globally on Saturday, April 15 on BBC One and BBC America.

"This is the gateway to everything that ever was or ever can be." This is Doctor Who Season 10: Get ready to have the time of your life with the Doctor, Bill, and Nardole!

The Doctor (Peter Capaldi) is an alien Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey who travels through all of time and space in his TARDIS with his companion. Instead of dying, the Doctor is able to "regenerate" into a new body, taking on a new personality with each regeneration.
