It's one of the most expensive series in Netflix's catalog, and it's returning this April to cap off its first season.

Check out the trailer for 'Part II' of "The Get Down," director Baz Luhrmann's hip-hop/disco saga about a group of South Bronx teenagers trying to survive the mean streets of New York City while also trying to launch music careers in the late 1970s.

The Netflix drama, in which the first six episodes was released in August of last year, centers on a young street poet/musician named 'Zeke' (played by "Paper Towns" actor Justice Smith) who teams up with a thrill-seeking graffiti artist-turned-turntable deejay, who is known locally as 'Shaolin Fantastic' (played by "Dope" star Shameik Moore), as they start an underground hip-hop crew called 'The Get Down Boys'.

Meanwhile, Zeke's childhood crush, Mylene (played by newcomer Herizen F. Guardiola), is embarking on her own musical journey as a wannabe disco singer. Though much to the disgust of her deeply religious father (Breaking Bad's Giancarlo Esposito), she manages to cut a promising demo record with the help of her well-connected uncle, who is a slick political businessman from the South Bronx (played by Emmy-winner Jimmy Smits).

'Part II,' which will consist of six new episodes, is continuing the kids' rapid transition into New York's gritty music scene as they face a new set of life-changing obstacles.

"The Get Down: Part II" is set to premiere on April 7th.
