The Bahamas is an intoxicating paradise filled with danger and despair in the trailer for "Live Cargo," a black-and-white arthouse thriller starring Keith Stanfield (the breakout star of Donald Glover's FX series "Atlanta" and co-star of Jordan Peele's hit horror movie "Get Out").

Stanfield stars alongside fashion model-turned-actress Dree Hemingway (daughter of actress Mariel Hemingway and great-granddaughter of author Ernest Hemingway) as an American couple who, in the wake of a recent family tragedy, travels to the Bahamas to reset their lives, only to be drawn into an exotic world of dark uncertainties.

Logan Sandler, who co-wrote the script with Thymaya Payne, makes his feature directorial debut with "Live Cargo," which received mostly good notices when the film premiered the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival.

Co-starring Sam Dillon (Boyhood) and Robert Wisdom (HBO's The Wire), "Live Cargo" will be coming to theaters and VOD later this month, on March 31st.

synopsis:
After an unspeakable tragedy, grieving couple Nadine (Dree Hemingway) and Lewis (Lakeith Stanfield) retreat to a remote island in the Bahamas where Nadine grew up vacationing. They're soon caught up in an ongoing conflict between Roy (Robert Wisdom), the island's aging patriarch, and Doughboy (Sam Dillon), a dangerous human trafficker using stolen boats to transport Haitians to the US.
