One's an inexperienced rookie, and the other is a lethal weapon, but together they might just be LA's best crime fighting duo. Check out a new red band trailer for the upcoming buddy-cop action comedy "CHiPs," starring Dax Shepard and Michael Pena.

Based on the classic 1970s television series of the same name, the remake gets a complete overhaul by Dax Shepard, who writes, directs, and stars as California Highway Patrolman Jon Baker, while Ant-Man's Michael Pena plays his new partner Frank "Ponch" Poncherello. The dynamic duo team up together to solve an ongoing FBI investigation where the prime suspect in a multi-million dollar heist is believed to be carrying a badge himself.

The film also stars Kristen Bell, Josh Duhamel, Adam Brody, Rosa Salazar, Jessica McNamee, Jane Kaczmarek, Maya Rudolph, Adam Rodriguez, and Vincent D'Onofrio as the dirty cop that's behind the armored truck robberies.

"CHiPs" hits theaters everywhere on March 24th.

synopsis:
Jon Baker (Dax Shepard) and Frank “Ponch” Poncherello (Michael Pena) have just joined the California Highway Patrol (CHP) in Los Angeles but for very different reasons. Baker is a beaten up pro motorbiker trying to put his life and marriage back together. Poncherello is a cocky undercover Federal agent investigating a multi-million dollar heist that may be an inside job—inside the CHP.

The inexperienced rookie and hardened pro are teamed together, but clash more than click, so kickstarting a partnership is easier said than done. But with Baker’s bike skills combined with Ponch’s street savvy it might just work…if they don’t drive each other crazy along the way.
