Disney-Pixar has released a brand-new "Car 3" trailer, offering viewers an extended look at the "next generation" of souped-up racing vehicles. And it appears they're "better," "stronger," "faster," and coming this summer.
Owen Wilson will reprise his voice role as legendary racing champion Lightning McQueen, who, after suffering a career-threatening crash, refuses to quit the game, even though the competition is tougher than ever.
Brian Fee, a Pixar storyboard artist who has worked on "Cars," "Ratatouille," "WALL-E," "Monsters University," and "Cars 2," is making his directorial debut with "Cars 3," which will also feature the voices of Armie Hammer, Bonnie Hunt, Larry the Cable Guy, and Cristela Alonzo.
"Cars 3" arrives in theaters June 6th.
Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician, Cruz Ramirez, with her own plan to win, plus inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage!
