How can one boost the morale of a whole nation during the time of war? Well, one could try to create the best damn patriotic war film ever seen.

Sam Claflin (from "The Hunger Games" films and "Me Before You") and Gemma Arterton (from "Quantum of Solace" and "The Girl with All the Gifts") are entrusted with such a task in the trailer for the film adaptation of author Lissa Evans's British WWII novel.

Directed by acclaimed helmer Lone Scherfig (An Education), "Their Finest" is set during the darkest days of World War II, in which the British Ministry of Information hires a crafty film producer (Claflin) and a young copy writer-turned-first-time screenwriter (Arterton) to come up with a rousing propaganda war movie about the miracle of Dunkirk.

Bill Nighy (Love Actually, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest) also stars as a fading British film actor who's been cast to lead the production.

"Their Finest" will open in U.S. theaters sometime in the spring.

synopsis:
With London emptied of its men now fighting at the Front, Catrin Cole (Gemma Arterton) is hired by the British Ministry of Information as a "slop" scriptwriter charged with bringing "a woman's touch" to morale-boosting propaganda films. Her natural flair quickly gets her noticed by dashing movie producer Buckley (Sam Claflin) whose path would never have crossed hers in peacetime. As bombs are dropping all around them, Catrin, Buckley and a colorful crew work furiously to make a film that will warm the hearts of the nation. Although Catrin’s artist husband looks down on her job, she quickly discovers there is as much camaraderie, laughter and passion behind the camera as there is onscreen.
