Here's the first trailer for "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul," which is the latest entry in the family-friendly film franchise based on Jeff Kinney's best-selling children's book series.

Directed by animator-turned-film director David Bowers, who helmed the two previous "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" movies (Rodrick Rules and Dog Days), "The Long Haul" features a brand-new cast that includes Nickelodeon kid actor Jason Drucker (TV's Every Witch Way) as Greg Heffley; Charlie Wright (FX's Better Things) and newcomer Owen Asztalos as Greg's quarrelsome brothers, Rodrick and Rowley; and finally, Alicia Silverstone and Tom Everett Scott as their clueless parents, Susan and Frank.

The new film, which follows the Heffley family as they take a long, tiresome four-day road trip to grandma's house, will be arriving in theaters May 19th.

In DIARY OF A WIMPY KID: THE LONG HAUL, based on the record-breaking book series, a family road trip to attend Meemaw’s 90th birthday party goes hilariously off course--thanks to Greg’s newest scheme to (finally!) become famous.
