FX has released the official trailer for "Feud: Bette and Joan," Ryan Murphy's new eight-part series based on the intensely bitter rivalry between legendary Hollywood divas Joan Crawford (portrayed here by Jessica Lange) and Bette Davis (Susan Sarandon), which culminated during the filming of director Robert Aldrich's acclaimed 1962 psychological thriller "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?" Which was a film that was first regarded as a B-horror movie starring two over-the-hill actresses, but ultimately turned out to be a huge box office hit that earned five Oscar nominations, including a Best Actress Nom for Davis' performance as a former child star who goes mad and torments her paraplegic sister (played by Crawford).
Catherine Zeta-Jones, Stanley Tucci, Judy Davis, Alfred Molina, Kiernan Shipka, Sarah Paulson, and Kathy Bates co-star.
"Fued is the first entry in a new FX anthology series that with each season will focus on a new legendary rivalry.
Murphy directs the pilot episode of "Feud: Bette and Joan," which is set to premiere on Sunday, March 5th.
