British actor Dan Stevens can currently be seen as a mutant losing his grip on reality in the X-Men-related FX series "Legion." But in his new movie, "The Ticket," Stevens plays a man who, despite being given a chance to live the way he always wanted, quickly finds himself losing his grip on life itself.

In the newly released trailer for writer-director Ido Fluk's debut film, we see Stevens as James, a blind man who miraculously regains his vision when the pituitary tumor in his head (it's the reason for his blindness) suddenly and unexpectedly shrinks. Celebrations are in order as James is now free to live out his life the way he sees fit.

But much like a good Twilight Zone episode, things take a turn for the worse as James becomes consumed with living a more fast-paced, career-driven, and self-absorbed life -- all while alienating the people he used to care about, namely his wife (played by Malin Akerman), his young son (Skylar Gaertner), and his blind best friend (Oliver Platt).

Co-starring Kerry Bishe (of AMC's "Halt and Catch Fire") and co-written by the director Ido Fluk and Sharon Mashihi, "The Ticket" is hitting theaters and VOD on April 7th.
