A grieving Arnold Schwarzenegger desperately wants an apology for his wife and daughter's tragic deaths in the first trailer for "Aftermath."

In this dramatic thriller, supposedly inspired by true events, the 69-year-old former action star leans heavily on his tender side, playing a blue-collar family man who just learned his wife and daughter had been killed in a mid-air airplane collision.

In the aftermath of the tragic event, Schwarzenegger's character is utterly devastated but soon feels compelled to track down the man responsible -- a guilt-ridden air traffic controller who made a terrible human error that night, and because of it, now lives in seclusion. He's played by "Halt and Catch Fire" and "Batman v Superman" actor Scoot McNairy.

Co-starring "Taken" actress Maggie Grace as McNairy's wife, "Aftermath" is directed by Elliott Lester, who previously helmed the Jason Statham-starring action thriller "Blitz" and David Oyelowo's one-man psychological drama "Nightingale."

"Aftermath" will be hitting theaters April 7th.
