Cartoon Network's Samurai Jack: Season Five (Revival) — Official Trailer

added: Mon, Feb 6th '17

Cartoon Network has released the official trailer for the long-awaited and much-anticipated revival of Genndy Tartakovsky's beloved Emmy-winning animated action series "Samurai Jack."

Originally aired for four seasons from 2003-2007, "Samurai Jack" told the story of a righteous swordsman (voiced by Phil LaMarr) who embarked on a time-traveling crusade to vanquish the evil demon AKU.

In what is being advertised as "Season Five," the new limited series finds Samurai Jack (again voiced by LaMarr) stuck inside some kind of a time prison. And while trapped in time for 50 years, Jack did not age. Although, he has since lost his purpose and possibly his mind as well. His mission is now to find a time portal back home: "gotta get back, back to the past, Samurai Jack."

Now added to Cartoon Network's late-night Adult Swim lineup, "Samurai Jack: Season Five" will premiere Saturday, March 11th at 11:00PM ET/PT.

It's been 50 years since we saw Samurai Jack and time has not been kind to him. Aku has destroyed every time portal and Jack has stopped aging, a side effect of time travel. It seems he is cursed to just roam the land for all eternity.
