The Fate of the Furious — Super Bowl Trailer

added: Sun, Feb 5th '17

The fate of Dominic Toretto and his faithful crew of car-racing comrades appear to be on shaky ground. Vin Diesel's Dom has not only gone rogue but has also managed to piss off practically everyone he holds dear, including Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) and Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), who is someone you wouldn't want to piss off, let alone be your enemy.

In a new Super Bowl trailer for the upcoming 8th "Fast & Furious" movie, Dom is lured back to the nefarious world of vehicular thievery by the mysterious ringleader Cipher (played by Charlize Theron). And it looks like she even convinced Dom to double-cross his "family" for reasons we haven't quite yet figured out. Lines have been drawn, loyalties will be tested, and old enemies will be forced to pair up as Dom has a lot to answer for.

"Straight Outta Compton" director F. Gary Gray has taken the helm of the new action sequel, which also stars Kurt Russell, Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, and more.

"The Fate of the Furious" will be arriving in theaters on April 14th.

On the heels of 2015’s Furious 7, one of the fastest movies to reach $1 billion worldwide in box-office history and the sixth-biggest global title of all time, comes the newest chapter in one of the most popular and enduring motion-picture serials of all time: The Fate of the Furious.

Now that Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game -- and the rest of the crew has been exonerated -- the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life. But when a mysterious woman (Oscar-winner Charlize Theron) seduces Dom into the world of crime he can’t seem to escape and a betrayal of those closest to him, they will face trials that will test them as never before.

From the shores of Cuba and the streets of New York City to the icy plains off the arctic Barents Sea, our elite force will crisscross the globe to stop an anarchist from unleashing chaos on the world's stage ... and to bring home the man who made them a family.
