Go behind the scenes of DC Comics' first comedy series "Powerless," which takes viewers inside a world of DC superheroes and supervillains, as seen through the eyes of ordinary people.
In this case, the ordinary people work at "Wayne Security," a lesser known division of Wayne Enterprises. It's a tech-and-gadget company that manufactures protection equipment for everyday citizens of "Charm City," which is apparently a hotbed of dangerous superhero battles. Watch out for falling debris.
Vanessa Hudgens (Spring Breakers, Sucker Punch) stars in the half-hour comedy as Emily Locke, an enthusiastic career woman embarking on her first day as the new director of Research and Development at Wayne Security. It's also Emily's first time in a superhero-filled city, where she has an unexpected encounter with superheroine Crimson Fox (played by stunt performer Atlin Mitchell).
Filling out the cast are Community's Danny Pudi, comedian Ron Funches, A to Z's Christina Kirk, and Rogue One's Alan Tudyk as Van Wayne, Bruce Wayne's idiot cousin who runs Wayne Security.
"Powerless" is premiering this Thursday, February 2nd on NBC.
Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens) lands her dream job as Director of Research and Development for Wayne Security in Charm City, home to super heroes and villains and citizens fed up with the collateral damage of their constant fighting. Full of confidence and big ideas, Emily quickly learns that her aspirations far exceed those of her new boss and officemates, so it will be up to her to lead the team toward their full potential and the realization that you don't need superpowers to be a hero.
