Sam Claflin falls under the dangerous spell of a manipulative Rachel Weisz in the first trailer for "My Cousin Rachel," a mystery period drama based on the classic 1951 novel by Daphne du Maurier, the famous British author of "Rebecca" and "The Birds."

Directed and adapted for the screen by acclaimed director Roger Michell (Notting Hill, Changing Lanes), the upcoming film sees Claflin as Philip, a young Englishman who believes his older, much wealthier cousin was murdered by his new wife, Rachel (Weisz). But as Philip sets out to expose Rachel as the murderer, something unexpected happens: he starts to fall in love with her.

Co-starring Holliday Grainger (The Finest Hours) and Iain Glen (Game of Thrones), "My Cousin Rachel" will be released in the summer, opening in both U.S. and U.K. theaters on July 9th.
