All hail the King ... the King who came from nothing.

Check out the first TV spot for director Guy Ritchie's epic reimagining of the classic Excalibur myth, "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword," starring Sons of Anarchy's Charlie Hunnam, Jude Law, and a bunch of mythical monsters.

In this medieval fantasy actioner, Hunnam plays Arthur Pendragon, a humble Englishman who comes from nothing. That's until he pulls a mythical sword out from a stone and learns of his royal bloodline, which puts him on a collision course with his evil, murderous uncle, the powerful Vortigern (Law). Now, Arthur must defeat Vortigern and his evil minions to take his rightful place on the throne.

"King Arthur," which is being set-up as a possible franchise, also stars Eric Bana, Djimon Hounsou, Astrid Berges-Frisbey, Annabelle Wallis, Aidan Gillen and Michael McElhatton. The film is slated for a May 12 theatrical release.

synopsis:
Acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie brings his dynamic style to the epic fantasy action adventure "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword." Starring Charlie Hunnam in the title role, the film is an iconoclastic take on the classic Excalibur myth, tracing Arthur's journey from the streets to the throne.

When the child Arthur's father is murdered, Vortigern (Jude Law), Arthur’s uncle, seizes the crown. Robbed of his birthright and with no idea who he truly is, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, his life is turned upside down and he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy ... whether he likes it or not.
