British actor Max Irons (The White Queen) and British singer-actress Samantha Barks (Les Miserables) play a 1930s Ukrainian couple trying to survive a mortifying war-induced famine in the new international trailer for "Bitter Harvest."

Set during Joseph Stalin's reign of terror, the film dramatizes a devastating historical event in the early 1930s, in which millions of Ukrainians were killed by a genocidal famine that had been orchestrated by the Stalin regime. The horrific event is historically referred to as "The Holodomor" of 1932-1933.

Directed by veteran TV director George Mendeluk (Lonesome Dove: The Series, Night Heat, Miami Vice) from a script by writer-producer Richard Bachynsky Hoover, "Bitter Harvest" also stars Terence Stamp, Barry Pepper, Aneurin Barnard, Tamer Hassan and "Game of Thrones" actor Gary Oliver as Joseph Stalin.

The film is set to open globally on February 24th.
