Woody Harrelson can't help but rub people the wrong way in the newly released green band trailer for the upcoming comedy "Wilson," which is written by "Ghost World" creator Daniel Clowes, from his own 2010 graphic novel.

Also starring Laura Dern, the film follows a lonely, mercurial misanthrope named Wilson (played by a bespeckled Woody Harrelson) who grows increasingly bitter after realizing his technicolor memories of the past are fading away.

But when Wilson learns his ex-wife (Dern) had secretly given their daughter up for adoption seventeen years ago, he is automatically thrilled with the news of being someone's father. So, believing it's the very thing he needs to get him out of his funk -- and with the reluctant help of his ex-wife, Wilson sets out to track down and meet his teenage daughter (Isabella Amara; from "The Boss"), who turns out to be a bit of a wallflower.

Set to premiere next week at the Sundance Film Festival, with a theatrical release set for March 24th, "Wilson" is directed by Craig Johnson, the filmmaker behind the Sundance-winning film "The Skeleton Twins." It also co-stars Judy Greer and Margo Martindale.

synopsis:
Woody Harrelson stars as Wilson, a lonely, neurotic and hilariously honest middle-aged misanthrope who reunites with his estranged wife (Laura Dern) and gets a shot at happiness when he learns he has a teenage daughter (Isabella Amara) he has never met. In his uniquely outrageous and slightly twisted way, he sets out to connect with her.
