Drew Barrymore is dead and loving it.
Check out the new official trailer for Netflix's darkly comic zombie-themed series "Santa Clarita Diet," starring Drew Barrymore as a suburban housewife and mother of two who suddenly feels absolutely incredible and fearless -- only to discover the reason of her unexpected change in mood is due to the fact that she's now a body part-munching zombie.
Timothy Olyphant (Justified) co-stars as Barrymore's fiercely devoted husband and real estate agent who takes it upon himself to help his wife get away with murder ... well, murders.
"We have to kill someone who deserves it," Olyphant says in the above trailer as he vows to be Barrymore's loyal partner in crime. He adds, "I guess the prototype will be a young, single Hitler." To which Barrymore replies, "Oh, God. We'll be heroes!"
Created by Victor Fresco (Better Off Ted, Andy Richter Controls the Universe) and co-starring Liv Hewson (Before I Fall) and Skyler Gisondo (Vacation) as Barrymore and Olyphant's teenage children, "Santa Clarita Diet" will run for 13 episodes with "Zombieland" director Ruben Fleischer directing the pilot.
The Netflix series, which co-stars Nathan Fillion, Patton Oswalt, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, and Thomas Lennon, is set to premiere Friday, February 3rd.

Joel (Timothy Olyphant) and Sheila (Drew Barrymore) are husband and wife realtors leading vaguely discontented lives in the L.A. suburb of Santa Clarita with their teenaged daughter Abby, until Sheila goes through a dramatic change sending their lives down a road of death and destruction...but in a good way.
