Go behind the scenes of the new CBS cop series that's based on the hit film "Training Day."

Executive produced by action-meister Jerry Bruckheimer, along with "Law & Order" producer Barry Schindel and "Castle" producer-writer Will Beall, the 13-episode drama is billed as a follow-up to the 2001 film -- though it follows the same basic premise: a rogue L.A. detective (played by Bill Paxton) is forced to partner up with a rookie cop (newcomer Justin Cornwell).

The series co-stars Katrina Law (Arrow) and Drew Van Acker (Pretty Little Liars) as members of Paxton's elite tactical police squad.

"Training Day" is set to debut Thursday, February 2nd on CBS. Watch the new preview, above.

synopsis:
Based on the hit feature film, this crime thriller begins 15 years later when an idealistic young police officer (Justin Cornwell) is appointed to an elite squad of the LAPD and he is partnered with a seasoned yet morally ambiguous detective (Bill Paxton).
