Jamie Foxx is having a really "f--ked-up day" in the new red band trailer for the gritty cop thriller "Sleepless," which opens in theaters this Friday.

A remake of a 2011 French thriller, the film sees Foxx as a corrupt Las Vegas cop who, after taking a large stash of drugs that didn't belong to him, discovers his son has been kidnapped by a powerful drug dealer. Now, Foxx has only one sleepless night to return what he stole and rescue his boy, all while trying to duck a tenacious Internal Affairs officer who's investigating his crooked past.

Directed by Swiss-born helmer Baran bo Odar (Who Am I) and written by Straight Outta Compton's Andrea Berloff, "Sleepless" also stars Michelle Monaghan, Gabrielle Union, T.I., Scoot McNairy, and David Harbour.

synopsis:
SLEEPLESS stars Jamie Foxx as undercover Las Vegas police officer Vincent Downs, who is caught in a high stakes web of corrupt cops and the mob-controlled casino underground. When a heist goes wrong, a crew of homicidal gangsters kidnaps Downs’ teenage son. In one sleepless night he will have to rescue his son, evade an internal affairs investigation and bring the kidnappers to justice.
