Here's the official trailer for "XX," a new horror anthology film, in which four female directors -- Karyn Kusama (The Invitation, Jennifer's Body), Roxanne Benjamin (Southbound), Jovanka Vuckovic, and singer-musician Annie Clark, better known as St. Vincent -- were given complete creative control (yet a limited budget) to come up with four stylistically different horror stories.
Produced by genre company XYZ Films (The Raid 2, Tusk, The Invitation), the segmented film features a cast that includes Melanie Lynskey (Togetherness, Heavenly Creatures), Natalie Brown (The Strain, Channel Zero), Christina Kirk (A to Z), Kyle Allen (The Path), and Peter DaCunha (12 Monkeys).
"XX" is making its world premiere this month at the Sundance Film Festival. It will also be hitting theaters and VOD on February 17th.
XX is a new horror anthology with a gender twist -- all segments will be helmed by female directors and will star female leads. The directors have been given free creative rein within budget and time constraints, but all of the segments themselves will involve the horror genre.
