Jason Momoa gets his hands bloody as he hacks his way into the fur trade in the newly-released trailer for the gritty 18th-century-set drama series "Frontier," which is debuting on Netflix later this month.

In this Canadian-produced scripted drama, which already aired in Canada this past November, the former "Game of Thrones" star plays Declan Harp, a half-Irish, half-native American woodsman who wages a bloody campaign against his former fur-trading employers -- Canada's own Hudson's Bay Company.

The six-part series, in which "San Andreas" director Brad Peyton helms the first two episodes, also stars Alun Armstrong (Braveheart), Evan Jonigkeit (X-Men: Days of Future Past), Shawn Doyle (Big Love), Christian McKay (Florence Foster Jenkins), Zoe Boyle (Downton Abbey), and Landon Liboiron (Hemlock Grove).

"Frontier" has just finished airing its first season in Canada. But starting on Friday, January 20, the show will be released in the States and other international markets, courtesy of Netflix.
