"Welcome to Wayne Security." Check out the first 30-second promo for NBC's new workplace comedy "Powerless," which is set in the DC Comics Universe.
Hailing from Ben Queen, the creator of NBC's short-lived comedy "A to Z," the half-hour series stars Vanessa Hudgens, Danny Pudi, Ron Funches, Jennie Pierson, Alan Tudyk, and Christina Kirk.
Taking place in a DC world of superheroes and supervillains, the show focuses on a small team of regular, everyday office workers whose job is to design and make products that protect ordinary citizens from potential injuries caused by unexpected superhero battles.
Executive produced by Michael Patrick Jann (The State, A to Z), who also directs the pilot episode, "Powerless" is set to premiere Thursday, February 2nd on NBC.
Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens) lands her dream job as Director of Research and Development for Wayne Security in Charm City, home to super heroes and villains and citizens fed up with the collateral damage of their constant fighting. Full of confidence and big ideas, Emily quickly learns that her aspirations far exceed those of her new boss and officemates, so it will be up to her to lead the team toward their full potential and the realization that you don't need superpowers to be a hero.
