If one of your New Year's resolutions is to lead a more healthy life -- well, this new 30-second commercial for "A Cure for Wellness" has a simple suggestion for ya: 'stop treating the symptom and take the cure.' And by 'cure', they mean a bath filled with slithering eels. Eeek!
Directed by visionary filmmaker Gore Verbinski (The Ring, Pirates of the Caribbean), this psychological Gothic horror stars Dane DeHaan as a young, ambitious business executive who finds himself checking into a mysterious health clinic. While trying to track down the whereabouts of his missing boss, DeHaan discovers the clinic isn't exactly on the up and up. It's more madhouse than spa -- which to say their brochure is very misleading.
Co-starring Jason Isaacs and British model-actress Mia Goth, "A Cure for Wellness" arrives in theaters February 17.
From Gore Verbinski, the visionary director of THE RING, comes the new psychological thriller, A CURE FOR WELLNESS: An ambitious young executive is sent to retrieve his company's CEO from an idyllic but mysterious "wellness center" at a remote location in the Swiss Alps. He soon suspects that the spa's miraculous treatments are not what they seem. When he begins to unravel its terrifying secrets, his sanity is tested, as he finds himself diagnosed with the same curious illness that keeps all the guests here longing for the cure.
