History's SIX: Season 1 — New Trailer: 'I'm a Navy Seal'

If you're looking for some chest-thumping and heart-pounding action, "SIX" might be the show you've been waiting for. That is, if this new action-packed trailer is anything to go by.

History Channel's new scripted series, starring Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight) and Barry Sloane (ABC's Revenge), is an action-driven military drama that's inspired by the real-life missions of Navy SEAL Team 6, America's most elite fighting unit famous for taking on the U.S. military's most dangerous assignments. And as you'll see in the new trailer, some of these covert missions can be quite personal, as well as merciless: "We get in. We get out. We ask for forgiveness later."

Created by Oscar-nominated screenwriter and Vietnam vet William Broyles Jr. (Apollo 13, Cast Away, Flags of Our Fathers, Jarhead) along with his son, writer David Broyles -- and under the technical supervision of former Navy Seal Mitchell Hall, "SIX" also stars Kyle Schmid (Copper), Edwin Hodge (Chicago Fire), Juan Pablo Raba (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Dominic Adams (Devious Maids), Nondumiso Tembe (True Blood), and Nadine Velazquez (The League).

The eight-episode series is set to debut Wednesday, January 18 on the History Channel.

synopsis:
"SIX" follows Navy SEAL Team Six, the best of the best, whose 2014 mission to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan goes awry when they uncover a U.S. citizen working as a jihadist fighter with the terrorists.
