Alexander Skarsgard and Michael Pena play a couple of crooked cops who are only out to protect and serve themselves in the new U.S. trailer for the pitch-black crime comedy "War on Everyone."

Written and directed by British filmmaker John Michael McDonagh (Calvary, The Guard), this Pulp Fiction-meets-The Nice Guys, buddy-cop caper follows a pair of corrupt police detectives in Albuquerque, New Mexico as they find themselves picking a fight with a newly arrived British mobster (played by Theo James; from the "Divergent" Films).

In addition to Skarsgard, Pena, and James, the cast also includes Tessa Thompson (Creed), Stephanie Sigman (Spectre), Malcolm Barrett (NBC's Timeless), Paul Reiser (Whiplash), and Caleb Landry Jones (X-Men: First Class).

"War on Everyone," which already opened in the UK in October, is slated to make its U.S. debut early next year. It's exclusively coming to DirecTV's on-demand service on January 5th before hitting theaters and VOD on February 3rd.

synopsis:
In Albuquerque, New Mexico, Terry Monroe (Alexander Skarsgard) and Bob Bolano (Michael Pena) are two corrupt cops who set out to blackmail and frame every criminal unfortunate enough to cross their path.
