Find out what's in store for Netflix's newest animated series with a newly released featurette for Guillermo del Toro's fantasy adventure romp "Trollhunters."

The visionary filmmaker of "Hellboy," "Pan's Labyrinth," and "Pacific Rim" has joined forces with DreamWorks Animation to turn his illustrated novel (which he co-wrote with award-winning author Daniel Kraus) into a new high-adventure animated show about myths, legends, and magical trolls.

The story concerns a 15-year-old boy named Jim Sturges, who accidentally stumbles upon a special magical amulet that was found lying in his basement. In doing so, Jim is automatically chosen to be the next "Trollhunter," a mythical guardian responsible for keeping the peace between good and evil trolls that reside in a secret dimension.

The voice cast includes Kelsey Grammer, Charlie Saxton, Ron Perlman and "The Walking Dead" star Steven Yeun.

Before he tragically died in June, "Star Trek" actor Anton Yelchin had completed his voice work for the show. Yelchin plays the show's main character, Jim.

"Trollhunters" is set to debut on Friday, December 23.
