Amazon has released the trailer for the upcoming first season of the Bryan Cranston-produced series "Sneaky Pete," about a newly paroled con-man (played by Giovanni Ribisi) who enters the bail bondsmen business after assuming the identity of his former cellmate.
Cranston, who serves as executive producer along with "House" creator David Shore, co-stars as a ruthless gangster who gives Ribisi's character seven days to pay off his brother's gambling debt, or else.
The ten-episode series also stars Emmy-winner Margo Martindale (The Americans, Justified), Marin Ireland (Homeland, Masters of Sex), Libe Barer (Parenthood), Peter Gerety (The Wire), and Ethan Embry (Grace and Frankie).
The Seth Gordon-directed pilot episode is currently available to stream on Amazon. Meanwhile, the rest of the first season will premiere Friday, January 13.
From Executive Producers David Shore and Bryan Cranston, Sneaky Pete revolves around a con-man (Giovanni Ribisi) who, after leaving prison, takes cover from his past by assuming the identity of his cellmate, Pete. He moves in with Pete's unsuspecting family and is roped into the family's bail bond business. In order to keep the charade up, he plays the part of a skip tracer, taking down criminals worse than himself -- and discovering a family life he's never had.
