There's nothing like a little murder to crank up the tension level in an ultra-competitive community of working mothers.

Here's the official full-length trailer for "Big Little Lies," a new HBO limited series starring Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon, Oscar-winner Nicole Kidman, and "Divergent" star Shailene Woodley as three mothers whose lives in an upper-class beachside town are forever changed (and forever connected) by a tragic event.

Based on the best-selling novel by Liane Moriarty, the seven-part miniseries also stars Alexander Skarsgard, Laura Dern, Adam Scott, James Tupper, Kelen Coleman, Sarah Burns, Hong Chau, and Zoe Kravitz.

Jean-Marc Vallee, the acclaimed director of "Dallas Buyers Club" and "Wild," is directing each episode, while TV mega-producer David E. Kelley (Ally McBeal, Boston Legal) is sharing executive producing credits with Witherspoon, Kidman, and Vallee.

"Big Little Lies" will premiere Sunday, February 19, 2017 on HBO.

"Who knows what lies out there beneath the surface" ... Subversive, darkly comedic drama Big Little Lies tells the tale of three mothers of first graders whose apparently perfect lives unravel to the point of murder.
