Meagan Good is a bad influence on an impressionable teen girl in the trailer for the indie coming-of-age drama "A Girl Like Grace."
The "Anchorman 2" actress plays the unlikely mentor of a 17-year-old outcast named Grace -- played by newcomer Ryan Destiny (who will next be seen in Lee Daniels and Queen Latifah's new FOX series "Star") -- who's trying to come to terms with the recent death of her best friend while navigating through the social pressures of high school and the destructive temptations of adolescent urges.
The film, which is co-written and directed by former Disney Channel actor Ty Hodges, also stars Garcelle Beauvais, Romeo Miller (formerly Lil' Romeo), Paige Hurd, and Raven-Symone as a high-school mean girl.
"A Girl Like Grace" made its world premiere at the 2015 Los Angeles Film Festival. It's now slated to hit select theaters and VOD/DVD this Friday, December 2.
A GIRL LIKE GRACE is a story of a 17-year-old female growing up in a small, Southern community where notions of femininity, sexual identity, and survival are starkly at odds. Grace (Ryan Destiny), high school senior, is mourning the suicide of her best friend, Andrea (Paige Hurd). Grace’s single mom, Lisa (Garcelle Beauvais), is too preoccupied with her own troubles to be the support her daughter needs. So when the bullies (led by Raven-Symoné) make Grace the focus of their attacks, Grace turns to the new girl in town, the sexually savvy Share (Meagan Good). But Share is out of Grace's league, and Grace soon learns hard lessons about the dangers of drugs and promiscuity.
