"Lost" star Josh Holloway returns to play a desperate father trying to keep his family together during a ruthless citywide occupation in the upcoming second season of USA's sci-fi series "Colony," which also stars The Walking Dead's Sarah Wayne Callies.

The series, which hails from "Lost" showrunner Carlton Cuse and screenwriter Ryan Condal (Hercules), takes place in the not-too-distant future, where the city of Los Angeles has been completely walled off -- occupied by a foreign and mysterious army. LA citizens are essentially divided into two camps: those who can comply and those who can not.

Holloway plays a former FBI agent, named Will Bowman. For the safety of his wife (Callies) and children, Bowman agrees to serve as a reluctant informant and collaborator when his community secretly launches a small but solid insurgency. Season 2 will continue to examine Bowman's activities as a double agent while revealing a larger takeover of American cities.

"Colony: Season 2" adds Ally Walker (Longmire, Sons of Anarchy) to the cast. It's currently set to debut on Thursday, January 12 on USA Network.
