A new "Star Wars" movie about not giving up on hope, even during a time of great uncertainty -- well, that's a story that couldn't be more relevant or timely.

Check out a brand-new international trailer for "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," which offers glimpses at new footage from the film, mainly regarding rebel hero Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) and her relationship with her father, Galen Erso (played by Doctor Strange's Mads Mikkelsen), and his involvement with the creation of the Death Star. Plus there're a couple of quick flashes of Darth Vader, which is always cool to see.

Also starring Diego Luna, Donnie Yen, Ben Mendelsohn, and Riz Ahmed, the Gareth Edwards-directed movie takes place shortly before the original 1977 "Star Wars" film, and reveals how the Rebel Alliance were able to steal the plans of the Death Star from the evil Galactic Empire.

"Rogue One" opens everywhere on December 16.

Update: A second international trailer is now available online that has some more added footage from the earlier one. We added both versions to the playlist above.
